Econo-Blast™ Portable

Econo-Blast® portables are compact pressure blasters that share many features with their big brother, SuperBlast®. Available in three sizes with grit capacities of 1, 1.5, and 3 cubic feet, these portables include ASME vessel certification for safety, flexible air hose for ease of maintenance, wheels for portability, and a pressure gauge. Less grit capacity and smaller nozzles make these units ideal for spot blasting and detail work, particularly on a limited budget. Larger Econo-Blast® models can he equipped with Empire's patented Sure-Flo® grit valve and 680 remote controls for safety. With these controls, blasting stops the instant the nozzle is released. Complete packages are available to protect the operator from blasting and potentially hazardous dust per OSHA requirements. Further, these packages include all the blasting equipment and accessories necessary to get you up and running safely.

Metal Finishing Systems Equipment Supplies Solutions Denver Englewood Colorado Abrasive Blasters (Small Pots)

Schmidt® portable abrasive blasting systems are the workhorses of the abrasive airblast industry. These blasters are designed to provide the industry's lowest pressure drop - less than 1.5 psi and in some cases less than 1 psi - compared to as much as 10-14 psi in other systems on the market. It is important to note that for every drop of 1 psi at the nozzle, there is a corresponding loss of 1.5% in productivity. When you choose a Schmidt pot, you're already starting out ahead.

Schmidt small pots provide more value for contractors and industrial users, especially with expensive media and abrasive airblast labor that is harder to find.

Schmidt® brand blasters come in three levels of packages - A, B or C, for added convenience. All packages start with the portable blaster with 150 psi (10.3 bar) rated vessel with 90° cone bottom, pneumatic remote controls, MV 3® abrasive metering valve, ComboValve®, VBS II™ volumetric blowdown system, 55' twinline control hose and G2™ deadman.

Package A
Blaster (as described above) + moisture separator.

Package B
Package A + 50' blast hose assembly and nozzle.

Package C
Package B + NOVA 2000 NIOSH-approved, type CE respirator with 50' air supply hose kit and airline filter.

Metal Finishing Systems Equipment Supplies Solutions Denver Englewood Colorado Bulk Blasters

Schmidt® brand bulk blasting systems revolutionized the abrasive blasting industry when they were introduced in 1981, ushering in a new era of productivity for large jobs. Since then, they have only been improved upon. Schmidt bulk blasters are designed to maximize the cost savings of volume production. They feature multi-outlet Thompson® Valve II controls that allow each operator independent control of his abrasive media flow.

Safety enhancing features include the CEN™ (controlled expansion nozzle) blowdown, which safely controls the expansion and velocity of exhaust air. This system minimizes the opportunity for dust abrasion of exhaust system components, dramatically reduces noise levels during blowdown to safe levels and allows the operator to fully open the exhaust valve and safely depressurize a 160 cu. ft. unit in about 8 minutes. Other safety features include a 3" flanged cleanout for easy emptying without heavy tools, the Halok® closure safety system that prevents operators from improperly opening and closing the 10" closure, an Ergo-Ladder® system for safe and comfortable access to the 10" closure and Manway Stay Brackets to assist in easy/correct installation of the manway cover.
